Proposal Weekend
So, I already told you we were staying at the resort the remainder of the weekend, but man...this place was awesome. I felt like the Queen or something. Everyone knew Jarrod by name, "Hello, Mr. German," and we relaxed and got to float around on our little clouds awhile longer.
Saturday, we slept in a little, and Jarrod had Room Service bring us breakfast. We sat at the dining room table in the Casssita and just enjoyed our breakfast, then we decided to hit the pool. Jarrod had reserved us a private cabana for the whole day. It came with a tv, fruit and all the water we wanted. And it was right by the "Adult Only" pool with the swim up bar. We really enjoyed the cool water and the cold beers, and each other of course. We ate lunch in our Cabana and just really got to relax and do pretty much nothing! It felt really good. We have been needing a day like this one for a long time.
That morning, in my quick shower, I lost one of my contacts, so we had to call Mom to bring it out to us. Afterall, we didn't have a car! She brought Austin with her, so they got to see our cabana and the cassita while they were there.
We stayed out at the pool until about 2, then went back to the room and took a little nap before our dinner reservations at the little italian restaurant there in the hotel.

Our reservations were for 6 pm, and I gotta tell you, this place was wonderful! We had an antipasto platter, and I had Ravioli, and Jarrod had some type of pasta with a pesto cream sauce. It was amazing! Afterward, we went on a Gondola ride through the lake just behind the pools. The gentleman who rowed us (is that the term you use? oh well!) sang for us, and he had the most amazing voice. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I am so glad we had the opportunity to do it. For future reference, if you eat at that restuarant, the Gondola ride is complimentary, so if you want a nice dinner and a little atmosphere, they got it here!

Saturday night, we stayed in and rented a movie from PayPerView. We watched "Hall Pass" which was hilarious! It was a pretty low-key night, which after the previous night, we really needed. We slept in again on Sunday, and when we got up, we packed up our stuff and went to breakfast at the bistro, had them bring our things up to the front, and we got a ride back to our car at Talking Stick.
From there, we went home to see our doggies who we missed so much. Who wouldn't miss these two??!

But our weekend still wasn't quite over yet. We went and ran a couple errands, and went to grab a bite to eat at In & Out Burger. Mom called while we were there saying Austin wanted to spend the night again, so I said sure. It was afterall the 3rd of July and we were going over there anyways the next day! So, we decided to go see a movie, but we couldn't decide which one, so we went and saw...TWO! Hahahaha! We saw Bad Teacher & Monte Carlo. Both were good movies. However, this ended our weekend.
But I gotta tell ya, it was one for the books. It was exciting, and relaxing, and wonderful! It's a weekend I don't think either of us is likely to forget.
