***REMINDER: RSVP's are due January31st ***
WelcomeAfter making a promise to Jarrod that I wouldn't create a cheesy website about us getting married, here I am. However, I don't really think my intentions for this are cheesy at all. It's my way of sharing with others all our plans for our special day, allowing others to have an inside look at our vendors, and of course a look into all my DIY projects.
I want to share with our friends and family how things are coming along, as well as have access to resources to make their enjoyment in our day with us as smooth as possible . So take a look around, see what there is to see, check out the blog for what is going on at the moment, and feel free to send us a note or leave a comment for us. |
What's inside...
We have lots of info here for our family and friends to check out. Just click the different sections up on the Menu Bar to browse around to see what's going on here in German Wedding Central!
The Proposal-Inside this section is the full story of the beautiful evening in which Jarrod asked me to spend forever with him, as become his Mrs. German. Also included in this section is pictures of our entire "proposal weekend."
The Wedding Party-You will get to meet the very important people in our lives who we have asked to stand by our sides and be a part of this very special day. You will also get to meet our families, who will soon be one.
The Details-The intentions for this section will probably evolve over time. I want to share info about our vendors and location, and once all is said and done, I want to leave a review of these vendors to help out other brides. From my time on message boards on http://www.theknot.com, I see so many brides who are doing everything on a small budget. We have vacillated several times on how to have a wedding and a honeymoon (which neither of us had the first time around). Since it was really important to us to have both our children and our families there to be a part of the day, we had to do it in the most cost effective way possible. My point is, we are on a tight budget, and I have found so many others out there are as well, so I would love to share my findings in hopes it helps another special woman's wedding dreams become a reality like it has for me!
DIY Projects- I had myself convinced that I wasn't going to do ANY DIY's for our wedding, and then I started looking around. And, ya know? I just could not find exactly what I was looking for. So, what does any crafty girl do when she has something in her head, but she just can't find it? Yep, you got it. SHE MAKES IT HERSELF! So here I am, with lots and lots of ideas, and now I am going to make them all because nothing else fits my vision. Anywho...they will all be here in this section. Some may have tutorials, if I get the wild hair, and others will just be pictures, but if you want more info, just ask!
The Honeymoon- AHHH...the honeymoon! Jarrod and I very much looking forward to this! And just in case you are interested in the details, we will fill you in on this page!
Blog: On My Way...- Last but not least is the blog. On here you can just see the day to day wedding activities going on in our home. Most of it will peobably be wedding related since we, and by we, I mean "I", are currently in a mode of, "Eat, Sleep, Drink Wedding," but don't be surprised if you see me slip in some other stuff too. We do afterall also have a home, 3 kids, 2 dogs and jobs!
Well, we hope you enjoy your visit to our little corner of the world.
If you'd like to drop us a line, we'd love to hear from you!
Love Heather & Jarrod
